Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the website and recruitment services provided by ALKABA FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT AGENT PLC to partner recruitment agencies, authorized recruitment organizations, and eligible corporate clients.
ALKABA operates primarily through a business-to-business and office-to-office recruitment model, supporting overseas workforce recruitment from Ethiopia to destination markets through authorized partners.
By requesting a quotation, submitting workforce requirements, entering into a recruitment partnership, or using our services, the requesting organization agrees to these Terms & Conditions together with any quotation, service agreement, demand letter, or other written arrangement applicable to the specific order.
1. Who We Work With
ALKABA provides workforce recruitment and related services primarily to organizations that are legally permitted to participate in recruitment or employment activities.
These may include:
-
Licensed recruitment agencies.
-
Authorized recruitment centers.
-
Corporate workforce clients.
-
Approved overseas employment partners.
-
Other organizations legally entitled to request workforce recruitment services.
ALKABA's website and corporate recruitment channels are designed primarily for B2B and office-to-office cooperation, rather than direct retail recruitment for individual households.
ALKABA may request information or documentation to verify the identity, licensing status, or authority of an organization before accepting or continuing a recruitment relationship.
2. Starting a Recruitment Partnership
A recruitment relationship normally begins when a prospective partner contacts ALKABA and provides sufficient information about its organization and workforce needs.
Before work begins, ALKABA may request information regarding:
-
The organization requesting the workers.
-
Destination country.
-
Workforce categories required.
-
Expected number of candidates.
-
Job requirements.
-
Employment conditions.
-
Proposed recruitment schedule.
-
Relevant authorization or supporting documents.
Submitting an enquiry does not by itself create a binding obligation for ALKABA to provide candidates or accept a workforce order.
A recruitment engagement becomes subject to the terms confirmed between the parties through the applicable quotation, agreement, order confirmation, or other authorized communication.
3. Workforce Orders and Job Specifications
Partners are responsible for providing clear and accurate workforce requirements.
Each order should contain enough information for ALKABA to understand the type of candidates required and the conditions under which they will be employed.
Accurate Job Requirements
Information provided by the partner should accurately reflect matters such as:
-
Job category and duties.
-
Number of candidates required.
-
Experience or skill requirements.
-
Destination and work location.
-
Salary and contractual benefits.
-
Contract conditions.
-
Any specific selection criteria.
-
Expected deployment requirements.
ALKABA may request clarification before sourcing or presenting candidates if instructions are incomplete, inconsistent, or materially different from previously agreed requirements.
4. Candidate Sourcing and Presentation
ALKABA sources and prepares candidates according to confirmed workforce requirements and applicable recruitment procedures.
Its services currently include recruitment, screening, documentation, medical coordination, training, and mobilization support as part of the broader overseas recruitment process.
Candidate presentation may include available information concerning:
-
Experience.
-
Skills.
-
Employment background.
-
Language ability.
-
Training status.
-
Interview results.
-
Other information relevant to the requested role.
Candidate profiles are provided to support the partner's selection process and should not be treated as a guarantee of future individual performance.
The receiving agency or authorized employer remains responsible for making its final selection after reviewing the available candidate information.
5. Screening and Verification
ALKABA may carry out or coordinate appropriate screening before candidates proceed through the recruitment process.
Depending on the role and recruitment stage, this may involve:
-
Candidate interviews.
-
Identity checks.
-
Employment or reference review.
-
Skills assessment.
-
Document verification.
-
Other screening appropriate to the workforce category.
Screening is intended to support informed recruitment decisions. It does not remove the responsibility of the receiving partner to review candidates carefully before confirming selection.
6. Medical Screening and Training
Where applicable, candidates may be required to complete medical examinations, training, orientation, or competency preparation before deployment.
ALKABA currently provides both medical check-up coordination and structured training as part of its recruitment services.
These processes may be used to help candidates prepare for overseas employment and meet relevant recruitment or destination requirements.
Completion of a medical examination or training program does not guarantee that a visa, permit, or employment approval will subsequently be issued by the relevant authority.
7. Documentation and Visa Support
ALKABA coordinates recruitment documentation within the scope of its role as the Ethiopian recruitment partner.
This may include support relating to:
-
Candidate identity documents.
-
Employment documentation.
-
Medical records required for recruitment.
-
Training-related documents.
-
Visa documentation.
-
Embassy or clearance procedures.
-
Travel documentation.
-
Other documents required for overseas employment.
ALKABA's current service offering includes document processing and support for embassy clearance, visa processing, and travel documentation for partner agencies.
Final approvals remain subject to the relevant authorities and procedures in Ethiopia and the destination country.
8. Partner Verification and Regulatory Compliance
Each partner is responsible for ensuring that it has the legal authority required to conduct recruitment, placement, sponsorship, or employment activities in its own jurisdiction.
The receiving partner must comply with applicable requirements concerning matters such as:
-
Recruitment licensing.
-
Employment contracts.
-
Immigration and visa procedures.
-
Worker sponsorship where applicable.
-
Worker rights and employment conditions.
-
Government registration.
-
Destination-country labour requirements.
ALKABA is responsible for the recruitment activities falling within its role in Ethiopia.
Each receiving partner remains responsible for obligations that fall within its own country, regulatory system, or contractual relationship with the final employer.
9. Candidate Approval and Confirmation
A candidate should not be considered finally confirmed merely because a profile has been shared or an initial interview has taken place.
Confirmation may depend on completion of applicable requirements such as:
-
Partner selection.
-
Candidate acceptance.
-
Required screening.
-
Medical eligibility.
-
Documentation.
-
Visa or government procedures.
-
Final deployment arrangements.
Candidate availability may change before these stages are completed.
ALKABA will make reasonable efforts to keep the partner informed where a confirmed or shortlisted candidate becomes unavailable.
10. Changes to Confirmed Requirements
Changes to an active workforce order can affect sourcing, documentation, training, pricing, and deployment schedules.
Partners should notify ALKABA promptly if they wish to change:
-
Candidate quantities.
-
Job duties.
-
Salary or contractual conditions.
-
Destination.
-
Required qualifications.
-
Selection criteria.
-
Deployment priorities.
-
Any other material part of the confirmed order.
ALKABA may need to reassess the order where significant changes are introduced after recruitment work has already begun.
A revised requirement may also require a revised quotation, schedule, or written confirmation.
11. Commercial Quotations and Payments
Service charges are determined according to the specific workforce order and commercial relationship between ALKABA and the partner.
Commercial terms may take into account factors such as:
-
Workforce category.
-
Candidate quantity.
-
Destination market.
-
Documentation requirements.
-
Medical or training requirements.
-
Travel coordination.
-
Additional services.
-
Other agreed operational requirements.
Prices, payment schedules, volume arrangements, and other commercial terms should be confirmed in writing.
Where a separate contract, quotation, or partnership agreement contains specific commercial terms, those terms will govern the relevant transaction.
12. Recruitment and Deployment Timelines
ALKABA coordinates recruitment activities with the aim of progressing confirmed orders efficiently.
However, international recruitment involves several independent processes.
Timelines may be affected by:
-
Candidate sourcing.
-
Interviews and approvals.
-
Medical procedures.
-
Training.
-
Document preparation.
-
Visa processing.
-
Government approvals.
-
Embassy procedures.
-
Travel arrangements.
-
Regulatory changes.
Any timeline communicated before final confirmation should therefore be understood as an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in a written agreement.
13. Mobilization and Travel Coordination
Once candidates have completed the applicable recruitment requirements, ALKABA may coordinate the steps necessary to prepare them for travel and deployment.
Its current services include mobilization and travel coordination for partner agencies.
Depending on the arrangement, this may involve coordination relating to:
-
Final documentation checks.
-
Travel readiness.
-
Flight arrangements.
-
Candidate instructions.
-
Departure coordination.
-
Communication with the receiving partner.
Travel schedules may change because of airline availability, government procedures, documentation issues, or other circumstances outside ALKABA's direct control.
14. Candidate Withdrawal and Alternative Selection
A candidate may withdraw or become unavailable before deployment.
This can occur for personal, medical, documentary, regulatory, or other legitimate reasons.
Where appropriate and where suitable candidates are available, ALKABA may assist the partner in identifying an alternative candidate.
Any replacement, refund, credit, cancellation, or substitution arrangement is subject to:
-
The applicable service agreement.
-
The relevant workforce order.
-
The stage reached in the recruitment process.
-
The circumstances leading to the request.
-
Any commercial terms separately agreed between the parties.
General website information does not replace specific replacement or commercial terms contained in a signed partnership agreement.
15. Responsible Recruitment and Candidate Treatment
ALKABA expects its recruitment partners to support lawful and responsible recruitment practices.
Partners must provide candidates with employment information that accurately reflects the position for which they were selected.
They should not knowingly:
-
Provide misleading job information.
-
Change material employment conditions without appropriate procedure.
-
Use recruitment services for unauthorized placements.
-
Subject candidates or workers to unlawful or exploitative practices.
-
Use candidate documentation for unrelated purposes.
ALKABA may decline to process an order where there are reasonable concerns about the legality, legitimacy, or conditions of the proposed employment.
16. Confidentiality and Recruitment Information
During a recruitment partnership, both parties may receive information that is confidential or commercially sensitive.
This may include:
-
Candidate profiles and documents.
-
Workforce orders.
-
Demand letters.
-
Pricing.
-
Business correspondence.
-

These may include:
-
Government authorities.
-
Embassies and consulates.
-
Visa systems.
-

-
Airlines.
-
Receiving agencies.
-
Regulatory changes.
-
Travel restrictions.
-
Other external service providers.
ALKABA will make reasonable efforts to manage the parts of the recruitment process within its control but cannot guarantee outcomes that depend entirely on independent authorities or third parties.
19. Suspension or Termination of Cooperation
ALKABA may suspend, reject, or discontinue a recruitment engagement where there is a reasonable business, legal, or compliance basis for doing so.
Examples may include:
-
False or misleading information.
-
Failure to verify the requesting organization.
-
Serious breach of agreed commercial terms.
-
Non-payment of confirmed obligations.
-
Misuse of candidate information.
-
Unauthorized recruitment activities.
-
Requests inconsistent with applicable law.
-
Serious concerns regarding candidate or worker welfare.
Where circumstances permit, ALKABA and the partner may attempt to resolve the issue before cooperation is terminated.
20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of Ethiopia.
The parties are encouraged to attempt to resolve disagreements relating to services or partnership arrangements through direct business communication wherever reasonably possible.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved through mutual discussion, it may be referred to the competent courts or other legally appropriate authorities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, subject to any different dispute-resolution mechanism contained in a separate signed agreement.

ALKABA may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in:
-
Recruitment procedures.

Applicable laws or regulations.
-
Business operations.
